Buck knives

It is important to make sure that you handle Buck knives with care. These knives are specifically designed to be sharp enough to meet all of your needs. Because they are sharp, they are also quite dangerous.

Because they are dangerous, it is important to follow safety rules. These safety rules include:

• If you drop your knife, run away from it. Do not try to catch it. This safety rule makes sense when you think about it, but sometimes on the spur of the moment a person might try to do a little too much to stop the knife from falling. This could lead to serious lacerations and other damaging injuries.

• Don’t throw a knife to anyone. Ever. Even if your knife has a leather protector on it, it should never be thrown. There is no telling what might happen. Do not throw Buck knives. Period.

• Keep the knife folded or covered. Regardless of whether you are walking or if you are simply carrying the knife in a backpack, you should never carry Buck knives unless they are covered by something else. If a person is hiking and takes a fall, there are definite problems that could occur if they are carrying an uncovered knife.

• Do not use Buck knives for prying. Even though doing so can be tempting, it is possible that trying to pry will cause a knife tip to break off. Because it is unknown where the knife tip might fly to, this can be very dangerous.
